〈why not we go to bed〉在整张专辑《analog boy》中，扮演著后半张最私密、也最寂寞的“深夜耽溺”时刻。

在经历了 Track 6〈记忆把昨天写成小说〉残酷的自我剖析与精神惊悚后，主角的身心已经疲惫到了极点。这首歌就像是一盏在凌晨 2:17 亮起的蓝光萤幕，照亮了现代人无法入眠、只能在冷光中寻求温存的生理与心理状态。“我不是不想睡，只是还想听你多说一句。”这是一场在深夜与手机萤幕另一端进行的“虚拟博弈”。主角一边试图说服彼此去睡觉（Why not we go to bed, say goodnight instead），一边却又在灵魂失焦的边缘，渴望对方的陪伴能一直持续到手机电量耗尽（I'll be here when your battery dies）。

微距 Lo-Fi R&B / Alternative R&B，带有强烈的空间包裹感，歌曲开头由极具包裹感的温暖低沉 Synth Pad 与温暖的 Lofi 鼓组铺底。analog bow安落一进来，用极度贴耳、带著微弱“喉音颗粒”的嗓音，唱出“窗外的雨 / 落得有点慢”。那个干净且靠近的低音，瞬间将听众拉进了那间亮著蓝光的深夜卧室。

在副歌之后，背景交织著像催眠一样、不断重复的 "Go to bed / Stay awake"。此时背景突然切入一声冷静却带著警示感的口白："You are losing focus"（你正在失去焦点）。这段极具精神分裂感的设计，完美重现了熬夜时大脑因为极度疲惫而产生的幻听与重影感。

在经历了疯狂的失焦与 Breakdown 后，Bridge “我不需承诺 / 我不需信号” 温暖地滑了进来。这段的 Vocal 极其放松且Laid-back，像是终于在清晨来临前卸下了防备，达成了短暂的平静。
